Rashi refers to the zodiac sign associated with the Moon in many Vedic astrology traditions. A complete chart uses the exact birth date, time and location.

Nakshatra

Nakshatra refers to one of the 27 lunar constellational divisions traditionally used in Vedic astrology. The Moon's position at birth is used to determine it.

Lagna

Lagna, or Ascendant, is the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the birth location and time. Because it changes relatively quickly, accurate birth time and location matter.

Planets & Houses

A Janam Kundli places traditional planetary positions into houses and signs. Interpretations vary by tradition and calculation settings.
